Taking care of our earth has been a priority pf LEE Industries long before it was "status quo". Since 1969, it has been our mission to create innovatively styled, high quality home furnishings while adhering to a set of values that focus on our customer, our community, and the environment. Having established ourselves as a leader in eco-friendly manufacturing, in the 1980's we introduced our Ecology Plus program. We voluntarily used products that eliminated chlorofluorocarbon (CFC) gases from our manufacturing components. CFC's have been identified as being a culprit in the deterioration of the ozone layer. Today, we proudly offer naturalLEE, an alternative to conventional upholstery and a responsible choice when it comes to furniture. Along with this revolutionary new product, we have taken steps to reduce our overall environmental footprint within the company. We have implemented computerization to reduce overall waste in our manufacturing facilities and partnered with a national waste management company to distribute almost 100% of our raw materials for use in other products. This is all in addition to our conscious effort to move toward a paperless communication system, internal recycling efforts, and decreased energy use company wide. Most importantly, sustainability is more than offering an eco-friendly product. We manufacture long-lasting furniture, made in the USA. The longevity of our furniture prevents it from being discarded into landfills, leaving a smaller environmental footprint on our Earth.
