From the beginning of their relationship, Sal and Meow LoMedico quickly discovered they had the same dreams: To have a family and a full service restaurant they could call their own. After two kids and a decade of hard work and dedication, they realized that dreams do come true! Sals Pizza & Restaurant opened its doors to Baldwinsville, NY in Febru... ary 2015. Sal was born and raised in the village of San Giuseppe Jato, a hilly region in Sicily, Southern Italy. His parents, Frank and Pina LoMedico, were restaurateurs, and they started taking a young Sal to work with them. It was then that he learned how to make marinara sauce, to hand toss pizza, and to run business. Eventually the family immigrated to the United States, and in 1991 they opened Sals Pizza in DeRuyter, NY. Following college, Sal ventured off to open his own little pizzeria in Baldwinsville. Meow, daughter of Thailand-born Adisak and Dewey Siripornsawan, was born in Syracuse and raised in Baldwinsville. Although she graduated from Syracuse University as an Environmental Engineer, she took a leap of faith and helped her parents open Bangkok Thai Restaurant in Liverpool, NY in 2000. She held a variety of positions including server, cook, and dining room manager. One fateful day in 2002, she walked into a pizzeria and was introduced to Sal LoMedico. Together, Sal and Meow have partnered up to open Sals Pizzeria & Restaurant, a cozy family-friendly establishment in the heart of Baldwinsville, NY.
