Pelmor® Laboratories is a full service manufacturer of high performance, tight tolerance, all-rubber, rubber-to-metal bonded, custom parts and components that are manufactured to the company's customers' stringent specifications. From its inception in 1956, Pelmor has always had a reputation in the marketplace for producing high quality parts for a... variety of industrial applications. To demonstrate its commitment to Total Quality throughout its organization, Pelmor decided to register for the ISO Quality Management Systems (QMS). It achieved its first certification in August of 2000 to the requirements of ISO 9002:1994. In September of 2002, the QMS was upgraded and Pelmor was certified to the ISO 9001:2000 standards. This certification meant that Pelmor had succesfully implemented a quality management system throughout its entire organization, focused on planning, manufacturing, customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement. In March of 2003, the "Design and Development" criteria was added to Pelmor's QMS. ISO 9001:2008 is a new ISO standard that provides a set of uniform requirements that a company's quality management system must meet, without dictating how these decisive factors should be implemented in a given organization. This standard provides a tried and tested framework for taking a systematic approach to managing a company's processes, so that they consistently produce finished products that satisfy their customers specifications. It is the only standard in the ISO 9000 family against which an organization can now be certified. Pelmor Laboratories' commitment to Total Quality was again demonstrated in March of 2009 when its QMS was re-certified by an ISO auditor for the third time to the new ISO 9001:2008 standards.Read More
