We are coffee artisans from Kyoto, Japan, dedicated to the pursuit of coffee perfection since 1952, the beginning of Ogawa coffee bean roasting. From the cultivation of the finest beans in the healthiest soil, to the most meticulous roasting, to serving the best possible coffee with the utmost customer care, we are committed to building a future of... exceptional coffee. As a next step in our mission, we are proud to announce the opening of our first international shop in Boston in May 2015. We come to the U.S. as a humble student, to immerse ourselves in American coffee culture and use this learning to explore new possibilities for our coffee production and continue Ogawa Coffee's pursuit of perfection at every step. We hope, in return, to offer a taste of Ogawa's coffee culture. Coffee has a long history as a popular social beverage in Japan. Stepping into an Ogawa Coffee shop is a sensory journey to be savored, from the smell of the roasted beans to the whirring of the coffee grinders, to the first sip from a perfectly poured cup. We will strive to bring this special coffee experience to our Boston shop. The making of Ogawa Coffee is a team endeavor wherein each Ogawa employee and the individuals within our many outside partnerships play an important and unique role in elevating the potential of coffee. With a consciousness of social and environmental responsibility and an ongoing objective to improve the coffee standard, each team member is working to protect, nurture and grow a robust global culture of fine coffee for the future.
