About Laxor
LAXOR, Inc. (LAXOR®, LAXOR) was founded by three physicians with decades of clinical practice experience between them. In early 2000 they realized that the Internet could be used to safely store and make health information available no matter who created it, or when or where it was created. They also realized that the patient should be in control of his or her own health information. Over the next three and one half years they developed their vision of providing control to patients where it had not existed before. Control means ownership of the information and deciding who gets to see the information. In September 2003 they joined with Virtual Image Technology (VIT) of Fort Mill, South Carolina to form LAXOR® (LAXOR from the Latin words that mean "wide boundary").
