Island Ice & Beverage Company Limited was formed in 2008. The company was created to facilitate the merger of two of Jamaica’s leading manufacturing concerns. The Kingston Ice Making Company Limited (Kingston Ice) was one of the oldest companies in the history of Jamaica. Records indicate that the company was originally founded in 1884. Happy Ice Limited was a truly entrepreneurial venture that was founded in the early 1980’s. At the time, the packaged ice industry was in its days of infancy.
