During his time as a professional chef, Iiskola realized how inconvenient and time consuming it is for restaurant chefs to themselves simmer bones to make traditional bone broth - that is why Iiskola established his first company named Puljonki Ltd in 2014 together with his partner Sauvo Hiltunen. Puljonki was built for producing additive-free, high quality and culinary bone broth and sauces following the traditional cooking process. Puljonki was a success and was soon noticed internationally. Puljonki was sold to a Danish company in two parts in 2005 and 2011 that was later acquired by Nestlé Professional. Iiskola's passion for culinary tastes and great desire to develop food manufacturing business made him want to go a step further. He wanted to create a method where food industry bone waste can be utilized in making rich-in-flavour, additive-free bone broth available for everyone - not just the ones who eat at restaurants.
