Antarctic Logistics & Expeditions (ALE) is a US company with a year-round office in Salt Lake City, USA. ALE is the most experienced deep field tour operator in Antarctica, providing a wide range of guided experiences and logistical support for tourists, independent expeditions, and governmental research programs. The heart of Antarctica was opened... to private expeditions in 2003 when ALE's predecessor, Adventure Network International (ANI), established the first inland, blue-ice airfield in Antarctica. It took vision, a lot of logistic planning, and not a little help from supporters in Chile, to make this happen. More than 30 years later, the company remain the largest and most experienced private operator in the interior of Antarctica. The company has carried thousands of passengers, using large aircraft operating out of Punta Arenas, Chile. The company has supported virtually every private expedition that has crossed the continent on foot, by vehicle, or by aircraft. The company offers a range of experiences that showcase the best of the icy continent and cater to every type of adventurer. The company's base at Union Glacier, Antarctica, is open each year from November through January, with a support office in Punta Arenas, Chile.
