It is a uniquely homegrown service proud of its community based origins. The West Auckland communities represent the Trust's life-blood and are at its heart. In recognising the key role of the community in providing effective mental health services, we have made a point of participating in, and contributing to, key community forums, agencies and bodies that support and enhance our aims. WALSHtrust was a founding participant of Shared Vision West, is a member of West, Local and Combined Stakeholder Networks, Auckland District Council of Social Services (WADCOSS), has formed close links to Waitakere Council - participating in a number of initiatives, community groups, employers and local MPs.
