Since 1973, THON has raised more than $114 million for its sole beneficiary, Four Diamonds at Penn State Hershey Children's Hospital, making THON the largest student-run philanthropy in the world! Last year alone, THON raised a record-breaking $13.34 million for the fight against childhood cancer. Energized by these accomplishments, over 15,000 stu... dents have renewed their commitment to involve more and more people in the cause for the upcoming year. Today, a donation to THON means that 96 cents of every dollar is directly battling pediatric cancer and investing in the health of the company's future. These donations enable Four Diamonds to provide outstanding care and comprehensive support to children undergoing treatment. Additionally, with the help of THON, Penn State Hershey Children's Hospital is able to lead initiatives for innovative and collaborative cancer research. Because of these efforts, Penn State Hershey continues to be recognized by U.S. News and World report as one of the best children's hospitals in the nation for pediatric cancer care and research.
