While the campaign itself did not reach its funding goals, the funds that were raised and the outpouring of support from women everywhere helped Michael recruit a team and solidified his resolve to build Tempdrop. Meanwhile, the emergence of the "quantified self" and the idea that the company's smartphones can be powerful tools for personal health awareness propelled Tempdrop forward.
