Oman Bank for Agriculture and Fisheries was established in 1982 to promote the growth in the agriculture and fisheries sector. In 1997, the Omani wise government decided to merge the two banks in one bank 'Oman Development Bank - ODB'. Over the past 40 years, ODB managed to overcome the challenges it has faced and promote the growth of SMEs, which are always classified as high risk borrowers. Thanks to its long experience in the field, ODB managed to achieve good performance indicators in the key areas such as loan portfolio, meeting international standards and compliance. The achievements made over the past period are due to the collaboration of all efforts by the various boards, executive management and dedicated staff that was always above expectations.
