New Beginning Center's primary goal is to help domestic violence victims rebuild their lives in a safe and healthy environment. With more than 30 years' experience, we understand the importance of individualized care. The organization strives to deliver the level of social support that will increase the likelihood of success for each family member... as healthy, thriving adults. As the only designated domestic violence agency in the northeast sector of Dallas County, New Beginning Center serves Dallas, Richardson, Garland, Mesquite, Rockwall, Rowlett and Sachse. Thanks to our community partners, last year we provided transitional housing for 14 families (including 36 children) who would otherwise be homeless. Our shelter served 193 women and 151 children fleeing violent and abusive homes. Our Victim Outreach Program served 820 people. Our Battering Intervention and Prevention Program served 296 individuals last year. Additionally New Beginning Center Community Educators worked with more than 10,000 middle school and high school teens, engaging them in meaningful discussions about respect and boundaries.Read More
