Mary's Cafe opened its doors in the summer of 1995, when Mary Vu decided to use the recipes that her adoptive mother, Jessie Ray Duckworth taught her after coming to the US in 1975. Back then, Mary barely spoke any English and was missing her homeland "Vietnamese" cuisine, but she learned how to love cooking good ole southern food.
