What is Ntecc?
The North Texas Emergency Communications Center (NTECC) is a consortium formed by the cities of Addison, Coppell, Farmers Branch, and Carrollton, serving an approximate resident population of 220,000. NTECC consolidates dispatch services for Police, Fire, and EMS across these four municipalities, which are strategically located within the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. The initiative aims to leverage existing capabilities into a more robust and coordinated public safety organization, enhancing staffing depth and inter-agency support beyond what four independent dispatch centers could achieve. This consolidation is a key strategy to improve efficiency and response times for critical services in these growing suburban communities.
