ZON fruit & vegetables is the international sales organisation of the Cooperative Growers' Association ZON. The association's history began with the establishment of the Coöperatieve Veilingvereniging Venlo (Cooperative Auction Association in the Dutch town of Venlo) in 1915. ZON comprises three divisions, each with its own corporate activity: ZON fruit & vegetables specialises in the marketing and sales, logistics, packaging and quality assurance of fruit and vegetables. The division's activities focus on growers on the one hand, and various traders, retailers and the foodservice industry on the other. ZON fruit & vegetables' commercial course is based on two pillars: sale via markets and account sales. The requirements of buyers and growers are always given priority in the further development of the division's commercial clout. ZON Zachtfruit specialises in the sale and packaging of soft fruit. Fresh Park Venlo is a business park specialising in fresh produce & food, where activities in the fields of fresh, cooled product flows are concentrated.
