Young Men United

Young Men United (Y.M.U.) established Nov. 1, 1998, is a non-profit organization committed to helping others (individuals or families) in the community who need help due to health, disaster or financial reasons. Our motto is, 'Building Character for life'. It is our belief that too many children of Warren County are being lost to crime, drugs and c... riminal mischief. We want to encourage our youth to take their idle time and make it productive instead of destructive or wasteful. We believe that character is a special quality; a sense of moral strength, responsibility or appearance that makes one different from others. We are endeavoring to help instill such 'character traits' in our youth through mentoring and being positive role models. Y.M.U. is striving continually to be the best role models, responsible adults, friends, mentors, teachers and leaders that we can be. We believe that by 'teaching by example' we can help produce individuals who will grow to be mature and responsible adults that we all can be proud of. It is our philosophy that it, 'takes a village and order to raise a child'. Y.M.U.'s goal is to strive to make this a better community in which kids live, play, work, and get a better education. The officers and members of the Board of Directors are active citizens of the Warren County Community. We are retirees, and the actively employed, making the time to share our knowledge, experience, and wisdom. Together with the energy, passion, and dreams of our youth, we aim for a better community.
