Martin E. Vamos has been practising law since 1982, having first obtained his BA at York University and his law degree at Osgoode Hall Law School. Martin is married and he and his wife have six children and two grandchildren in total. A Biking Barrister, he regularly participates in the annual Miles for Smiles charitable cycling event which has bee... n raising funds since 1993 in support of two Hamilton emergency shelters for homeless youth in conflict with the law. He also participates in a weekly chess club and tries to golf with friends and family as often as possible. Martin Vamos Law Office is a full service Family Law practice located close to Hamilton's downtown core that is dedicated to providing support for our clients as they face their challenges. We all realize this is a difficult and emotional time for some, and we treat our clients as people who deserve our time, our energy and most importantly, our respect. Martin began his practice in Brantford where he gained experience in Real Estate, Civil, Family and Criminal law before moving his practice to downtown Hamilton in 1985, where from 1995 he has since concentrated on Family Law. years of Family Law experience, Martin has gained vast experience in separation agreements, custody and access issues, divorce, spousal support, child support, property of the marriage, property claims of common law spouses as well as all issues relating to children's aid matters and the apprehension of children by the Children's Aid Society. Our office prides itself on being a friendly, attentive and motivated team. Our support staff include Patti, a Law Clerk with over 25 years experience who is involved in the obtaining information required from you, the client, preparation and drafting of all documents, financials, briefs, liaising with the courts and opposing counsel, and Tracey, our Administrative Assistant who keeps the office organized and running smoothly.
