VALTEX was founded in 1982 by Dr. Vladimir Alexanyan in Palo Alto, California, USA and initially operated as a manufacturer's representative and export management firm specializing in developing business in China. By 1985 it was a well-established company with an office in Beijing and sales exceeding $3 million. It was incorporated in California in... 1985 as VALTEX International Corporation and is still a California corporation. At around this time VALTEX expanded to the USSR (Russia and 15 Republics) and by 1990 opened an office in Moscow followed two years later by an office in St. Petersburg, the second largest city in Russia. Presently VALTEX maintains two offices in Russia and agencies in all of the Former Soviet Union Republics that became independent states (Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Estonia, Georgia, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, Uzbekistan). VALTEX employs more than 15 people in Russia. Most of them are professionals with advanced degrees in science or engineering. The service department of VALTEX in Russia currently consists of four engineers with many years of experience in the repair and maintenance of a wide spectrum of electronic, scientific and medical instrumentation. VALTEX is not engaged only in the representation of US, European and Asian firms in the field of Scientific and Research Instrumentation. VALTEX is also actively involved in World Bank Projects dealing with Research Laboratories and the integration of custom made research systems, turn key labs and turn key facilities. Over the years VALTEX has won close to $80 million in contracts by participating in World Bank, UNESCO and Government Tenders all over the world.
