Tom is the owner and Managing Director of True North Group. As a trusted partner of CTS, Inc. True North Group provides and specializes in cybersecurity and cyber risk. They help businesses successfully navigate all areas of Governance, Risk, and Compliance by providing services to assess risk, develop and enhance strategies, and design cost-effect... ive solutions addressing cyber threats of both today and tomorrow. Tom has over 25 years of cybersecurity experience, and began his career in the US Army Signal Corps before transitioning to Military Intelligence as a Counterintelligence Agent with assignments in Germany, the US, and Middle East. Tom served his country honorably in both Operation Desert Shield, Desert Storm, and Operation Iraqi Freedom. Tom is certified as an Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), and Information Security Manager (CISM), and is Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control. Hunter joined True North Group in June of 2020 as a summer intern, eventually being hired on in August of 2020 at the conclusion of his internship. He is currently pursuing a bachelors for cybersecurity engineering. He is currently enrolled at Lord Fairfax Community College and plans to advance to George Mason University. For each job Hunter has had, it always revolved around technology, whether it was working for the IT department for Frederick County Public Schools or being a sales associate for Best Buy.
