The Red Barn

We are a Christian faith-based agency with a friendly, accepting, welcoming, relaxed, and fun atmosphere. We provide an affordable, therapeutic experience for those who couldn't be served at traditional equine agencies. Our emphasis is on relationships and learning, not discipline specific or competition driven. Our programs are individualized (eve... n when serving groups), research based, and evaluated for effectiveness. Our horses are a critical part of the agency. We are not a rescue, but we can use rescues if they are appropriate. All horses belong to the program either through lease or donation. We do not board other horses. Horses must be assessed and vet checked before being admitted into the programs. We provide top-notch care by using professional vets, farriers, and other caretakers. We have high standards for our staff. They must be qualified, adaptable, professional, self-directed, and willing to work in a team environment. We work together as an integrated and cross trained team, with each person contributing as they are able, to all aspects of the agency's long term success. We are stewards of the land God has given us to use. Our facilities are orderly, clean, and well kept. They also meet the standards of CHA and PATH for safety. The safety of our students is paramount with procedures in place for horse safety and safe sanctuary. These same procedures and use of the buddy system also provide a safe environment for our staff and volunteers. We show appreciation and hospitality to each other, students, volunteers, donors, and everyone else we work with. We provide educational opportunities for and develop leadership skills in staff, volunteers, students, and others in our industry. We want to help each person associated with the barn reach his or her highest potential.
