About The Leather Guy
The Leather Guy was born in 1997 from the desire to relax on weekends and spend time with the company's 2 children (then toddlers) and friends at Rendezvous. For those that don't know, Rendezvous are pre-1840 reenactments of the fur trade era. The company slept in canvas tents, cooked over open fire and used no electricity...relaxing. The company would sell 'little things' like beads, baskets, antlers. The company 'accidentally' ran across leather and Keith thought maybe that would sell at Rendezvous. The company tried it and to say the least, it has been a success. The company has spent many years promoting the company's business on the road in the Midwest at various weekend festivals. In 2001, the company started selling leather and supplies on eBay just to see if it would sell. The company spent the next 3 years building the company's online business out of the company's house.
