About The Golden Optimists
The Golden Optimists Bicycle Recycle Program is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing refurbished bicycles for transportation, exercise, and leisure to individuals in need within the Golden community. Established for over 35 years, the program relies on community support through donations and volunteer efforts, refurbishing around 500 bikes annually. Approximately half of the bikes are given away for free to those who cannot afford them, including local children, foster youth, and newly settled refugees.
