The ConTech Group is a technical information provider. We believe that accurate, timely, technical information affords a critical advantage because those who know, win, and those who don't, pay. In our role as an information provider we can assist both the claims adjuster and risk manager. However, we handle claim-related assignments (as opposed to... losses) for only the commercial property insurance industry. We assist the adjuster with the remediation of the loss situation in a variety of ways - damage assessment, a menu of viable recovery alternatives, equipment valuation and resale, project oversight, and, when necessary, expert testimony. As the decision-maker, the adjuster selects the alternatives and activities that best suit his needs. Once those selections are made, we make known how we might assist with their implementation. Our long experience with commercial property claims provides a unique benefit to risk managers (and underwriters). Our primary concern would be to assess and prioritize the existing or potential risks and take those corrective actions necessary to establish a risk profile that would be attractive to an insurer. The benefits would take the form of a more predictable work environment and may result in reduced premiums or additional coverage. Providing this kind of support isn't easy. Certainly having a nationwide resource comprised of many different technical disciplines is essential. Equally important is the management of that resource so that the needs of the client's situation are understood and met. To that end, we rely on our organization of regional coordinators. Finally, a local presence allows for a quick response in proximity to the event site. Our organization and its services were established with these needs in mind.
