For more than 25 years, The Bert Insurance Group, Renshaw Insurance, and Best Insurance have been providing clients with life insurance and employee benefit services, as well as multiple lines of property & casualty insurance products. In December 1994 The Bert Insurance Group acquired the Life Insurance and Benefits Department of Acordia of Western Pennsylvania. Acordia of Western Pennsylvania was established in 1991 as the successor organization of the Erie office of Robinson-Conner Inc., which had served the local community with insurance products and programs for more than 40 years. Renshaw Insurance wrote its first policy in 1954. Since then, Renshaw Insurance has written thousands of personal and commercial insurance policies for three generations of clients. The office and staff of Renshaw Insurance merged with The Bert Insurance Group in January 2002. The affiliation has greatly expanded the overall expertise available in all lines of insurance for the clients of both agencies. In July 2004 Best Insurance joined forces with The Bert Insurance Group and Renshaw team, bringing with them superior knowledge of commercial lines.
