Teamsters Local 348 is a member of the Tri-County Building & Construction Trades Council and the Akron Medina Labor Council (AFL-CIO) and is an affiliate of Teamsters Joint Council 41, Ohio Conference of Teamsters, Ohio DRIVE, Ohio Teamsters Sports Committee and the International Brotherhood of Teamsters. Membership meetings are held the second Tue... sday of every month at 8:00 p.m., please plan to attend. As a new member or an old member you are likely to have questions of Local 348 and, or, your employer. Local 348 has trained individuals to help answer your questions. Shop stewards are individuals at your place of employment and business representatives who can be reached at Local 348s offices. Business representatives are employees of Local 348 who have been assigned to shops that they visit on a regular basis to address members concerns, attend to grievances, and administer contract negotiations. As a member of Local 348 your employment is subject to a contract negotiated with your employer.
