Frank Meeks started as a Delivery Driver in 1979 in Mississippi and quickly became a manager. In 1980 he went to Washington, DC as a congressional aide for Senator Trent Lott, who was then a member of the U.S. House of Representatives. After realizing what a great market this could be for Dominos Pizza, Frank applied for and was awarded franchise r... ights for Northern Virginia and Washington, DC. He opened his first store on Duke St. in Alexandria, VA in 1983 and later acquired territory and stores in Maryland. In 1985, Frank persuaded his long time college friend, David Carraway, to come to VA and help him build the company. In 2001, Meeks was one of the first inductees into the Dominos Pizza Chairmans Circle Hall of Fame.Meeks named Carraway, his long-time Vice President of Operations, the President of Team Washington. Frank Meeks passed away on November 9, 2004. David Carraway purchased the company from his estate. In 2005, David Carraway was inducted into the Dominos Pizza Chairmans Circle Hall of Fame. Carraway was diagnosed with brain cancer in 2004 and succumbed on February 17, 2007. His wife, Mary Lynne, stepped up and assumed the leadership of Team Washington. Now in its 30th year, Team Washington, has received eighteen Gold Frannies, a prestigious award given to the very best franchisees in the system, and won the world-wide Fastest Pizza Maker contests thirteen times.Read More
