About Syracuse Fire Department
The Syracuse EMS is the only fire department based ambulance service in Kosciusko County where all EMS personnel with the exception of 2 observers are also Syracuse Fire Department firefighters. The Syracuse Fire Department is the only fire department in Kosciusko County that has it's own dispatch center that is manned 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. The Syracuse EMS is currently sponsored by Kosciusko Community Hospital . Kosciusko Community Hospital provides pre-hospital protocols and medical direction to the Syracuse EMS . The Syracuse EMS will transport a patient to the hospital that the patient wishes to be transported to upon arrival at the emergency scene, dependant upon patient condition.
