About Sycac
SYCAC seeks to help end the Syrian conflict by promoting a robust civil society throughout Syria. In turn, a representative and legitimate Syrian government can serve all local populations as a credible body. We envision a vibrant Syrian civil society that contributes to peace, stability and prosperity for all citizens. SYCAC works to ensure all Syrians achieve freedom, dignity, and social justice. Until August 2016, SYCAC was working under the Strengthening Local Councils' Governance program partnered with NDI to build administrative capacities of 21 local councils in Idlib and Aleppo provinces from 2014-2016. SYCAC currently provides governance training through the Building Legitimacy of Local Councils, that supports 25 local councils between Idlib, Aleppo and the Damascus suburbs from 2016-2017. SYCAC remains partnered with NDI for this project, in addition to the prime implementer, Creative Associates International.Explore more
