Hello, I am Gayana! My blog is about traditional Indian food, and I am so excited to be able to share my recipes here with you. Being a South Indian, I love eating spicy, flavorful food; Ragi Mudde Bassaru, Rice Rasam, Akki Rotti Chutney, and the infamous Curd rice are the kind of food I enjoy eating every day. My love for cooking started at a youn... g age where I used to make instant Maggi noodles and instant pasta for myself and then during my college days, that love gradually started increasing where I began making simple vegetable stir fry, sandwiches, and evening snacks. After that, my cooking journey reached a dead-end as I started working and got busy. However, once I got married and moved to the USA, my cooking journey set off again, and I began cooking regularly. My husband and I love eating home-cooked food so, I try different recipes at home getting inspiration from various cooking blogs, videos, and yet end up going back to my mother and mother-in-law for our traditional recipes. Though cooking each meal at home(regularly) can become a chore, nothing beats the satisfaction of eating a home-cooked meal. Agree? As much as I love eating outside, I believe in cooking every meal at home, and the joy of making a meal and eating is something that I do not want to give up ever! In my free time, I read, watch movies, and put down some of the tried and tested recipes here on my blog Swaadista.
