I have always had a passion for textiles and fashion. As a small girl, I designed Barbie doll clothes and sold them out of my little red wagon in my neighborhood. When I was in my 20s, I when to fashion school and studied apparel design, which launched my love for clothing design. I spent hours in museums studying the construction of costumes and t... heir creators. Soon after, I open Susans Couture - a bridal shop that specializes in one-of-a-kind European inspired gowns. When I founded Susan's Couture, I also took my first trip to Europe to experience firsthand the fashion, jewelry, art, opera, theater, and culture. In my travels I found Paris to be "home" and try to return often. French fashion is a major influence in all the work I've created for the Seattle Opera, the Seattle Ballet, and Teatro Zinzanni. The richness that I have experienced in all my adventures inspires me to create beautiful creation for my clients.
