The original 20 acre parcel was purchased in 1974 and has grown into the facility you see today. In the 70s, Erik Rosenbaum opened the nursery for sales part time while he worked full time as an electrical engineer for Bendix Corporation. By 1981 the nursery was open full time. Since then Erik's daughter, Annette Fentress, has taken over the family... business. The nursery has since added 94 more acres, a few miles away in Carroll County, to produce the tens of thousands of plants the company offers for sale.
