In 1881, they moved manufacturing to the site of the existing factory in Long Island City. In 2008 we opened our first showroom on Long Island in Melville. Conveniently located on Route 110 (Walt Whitm... an Road), the Steinway Piano Gallery of Long Island is the only company owned showroom on Long Island offering new Steinway pianos, factory rebuilt Steinway pianos and the Steinway-Designed Boston and Essex pianos. The showroom also houses a recital hall with a Steinway Concert 90 grand piano on stage for performances by both professionals and piano students.
