The school aims to continue to serve the whole community within its area, welcoming all children, regardless of faith, religion, culture or background. As a church school, St Paul's ethos encourages those children already involved in the Christian faith or other faiths, and hopes to bring spiritual awareness to those of no faith. We believe that stimulating children's enquiring minds will motivate them to continuously raise their academic standards. We recognize that diversity, in all its meanings, enables us to gain a better understanding since we see things from a number of perspectives. To be effective in working together, pupils first need to have a good self-knowledge for only then can they develop empathy for the difference in others. Christianity and other religions teach us the importance of the love of God and compassion for others. A safe and supportive environment within a school is essential for children to learn effectively. A school with a culture where the children come together in common aspiration can achieve more.
