Springfield Primary School

Springfield Primary School is situated on a large spacious site next to Little Heath Secondary School which is our partnership school and where we foster strong curricular links. Opened in 1969 (with just 38 children on roll at that time), Springfield Primary has grown and developed into a thriving school with a reputation for excellence. We curren... tly have 320 pupils on roll, aged between 3 and 11 years of age. Our aim is to encourage curiosity, interest and an enquiring mind, thereby stimulating a lifelong love of learning. The school is housed in one building with access to different play areas, including a fort, play equipment and a large field, plus several asphalt playgrounds offering a choice of playing areas. We have a fully resourced and highly stimulating Foundation Unit suited to our younger children, with access to a well equipped outdoor learning environment. Here Foundation 1 and Foundation 2 children work together collaboratively, developing key skills to ensure that children are independent in their learning. Children transfer from the Foundation Stage into Key Stage 1 which is well resourced and where children have fun learning.
