Our main business is in large multi-megawatt wind turbine gearbox design, certification and due diligent. SinoWind's owner and chief engineer, Dr Y Song, is a charter engineer in British Engineering Council and a Fellow of Institue of Mechanial Engineers - the highest class in mechnical engineering in UK. Dr Y Song have more than 22 year's engineer... ing expereince and he has led various engineering teams, in his previous career as project manager and technical lead, to successfully designed 1.5MW, 1.65MW, 2MW, 3MW wind turbine gearboxes. Those gearboxes have been prototyped and passed GL certification and are running in the fields. 3MW WTG, the first largest wind turbine gearbox ever in China before 2010, now is the first 3MW WTG in serial production. The customers of those gearboxes ranged from Europe to China, Korea, Japan, India and Taiwan. Dr Y Song also have carried out concept study and technical reviews for 3.1MW, 5MW, 5.5MW, 6.5MW and 10MW wind turbine gearboxes and due diligent various wind turbine geaxboxes around the world. A few selected major wind turbine gearboxes have been designed are listed as follows: Sinovel/DHI's 3MW wind turbine gearbox, which is the first 3MW wind turbine gearbox at that time in China successfuly passed the test and connected into grid to generate the electricity in China East Sea; Now the first 3MW WTG in mass production in China. Chongqing Wangjiang's 1.5MW wind turbine gearbox, this is the first gearbox with the advanced flexible pin technology. The gearbox has been tested and is the first GL certified WTG in China and has been installed into Tianwei's wind turbine to generate electricity in 2009.
