St James Catholic School

Saint James Catholic School is a Pre-Kindergarten through 8th grade institution serving nearly 200 students with a comprehensive educational model that integrates academics, service, and faith-based community engagement. The school's curriculum is designed to develop both academic excellence and character growth, preparing students for high school... success and lives grounded in Christian values. Saint James distinguishes itself through its commitment to inclusive education and cultural diversity, with 47 percent of its student body comprising students of colora figure four times higher than the state average for private schools and twice the state average for public schools. This demographic composition reflects the school's mission of Education for Everyone and its welcoming approach to families who share its vision of a multicultural learning community. The school's small enrollment creates a distinctive family-oriented environment where every student experiences personal importance and belonging, ensuring that no student is overlooked and each is held accountable for their actions and learning. Saint James employs an expanded curriculum that positions students as active participants in the learning process rather than passive observers, fostering an engaging academic environment rich with opportunities and possibilities. The school's educational programs are intentionally designed to develop student morality and strengthen character alongside academic achievement, recognizing that character growth and academic progress are interchangeable in producing responsible citizens. Faculty, teachers, and volunteers demonstrate deep investment in student success through consistent high expectations and dedicated support. Known as the small school with a huge heart, Saint James has built a tradition of success by challenging each child to reach their individual potential, accept responsibility for their own learning and behavior, and look beyond themselves to provide service through faith and community engagement.Read More
