About Rogy's Learning Place
Rogy's Centers implement "The Creative Curriculum". The philosophy behind The Creative Curriculum is that children learn best by doing. The Creative Curriculum's main goal is to help children become independent, self-confident,inquisitive, and enthusiastic learners. Along with The Creative Curriculum, Rogy's also implements a screening tool called Brigance Childhood Screens III. This screening is done on Infants thru 5 year olds. The screening identifies potential developmental delays, informs instruction, and monitors child progress. We also implement a LAP Assessment. (Learning Accomplishment Profile) The two basic elements of the LAP Assessment are assessment and curriculum. First, we learn what the children can and can not do. Then, we develop an individualized, developmentally appropriate curriculum based on the child's age and stage of development.
