Reptile Basics Inc. was formed in 2001 as the internet division of Piedmont Reptile, the company's brick and mortar retail store in Archdale, North Carolina. The primary focus at that time was breeding and resale of quality CB and WC reptiles. In 2004 the decision was made to sell the retail store and focus on internet sales and reptile shows in th... e eastern US. At this time RBI also started the cage making business. All of the company's cages are cut and assembled in the company's facility using CNC equipment. Since that time there have been several internet based caging companies that have come and gone.
