REED Company, LLC was organized in 1994 by Jim Ebert, his son, son-in-law and one of his daughters to create a used truck and heavy construction equipment dealership. At that time, the four of them were primarily concentrating on the operations of Ebert Construction Co., Inc., a heavy/highway dirt excavation company which Jim founded in 1958. Jim s... oon began to ease out of the daily operations of the construction company in order to pass those responsibilities on to the next generation. He then focused on developing REED Company into a well-known dealership. Jim's forty years in the construction industry have given him extraordinary expertise in accomplishing this task. His hands-on style of managing the construction business provided him with unparalleled experience in searching out quality used equipment and trucks at affordable prices from a contractor's perspective. He possesses a personal and unique knowledge regarding the equipment needs of contractors, farmers, heavy haulers and others. In addition, through his construction business activities as well as his involvement with contractor associations, he has accumulated forty years of business relationships in the construction industry across the country. These relationships with contractors, equipment dealers, auction companies and government entities give him limitless avenues for searching out equipment to meet the specific needs of customers. The business expanded and another daughter, Rhonda, joined REED Company, taking responsibility over the financial aspects of the business. In addition, a cousin, Don Ebert, joined the ranks to assist Jim with sales and management.
