During the production process, chemical substances are used... in order to meet the demands of our modern world. However, some of them can cause harm to living beings and the environment. Thus we believe in the importance of using more safe, healthy and sustainable products. From June 2007, the European Union adopted a regulation enacting the Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH). The regulation impacts all chemicals no matter whether they are used for industrial purposes (e.g. rubber, plastics, petrochemicals) or within consumer products (e.g. clothes, cleaning agents, home appliances). "REACH places the burden of proof on companies. To comply with the regulation, companies must identify and manage the risks linked to the substances they manufacture and market in the EU. They have to demonstrate to ECHA how the substance can be safely used, and they must communicate the risk management measures to the users." (More under ECHA ) Until the end of May 2018, the process of REACH involves registering tens of thousands of chemical substances according to their potential risks for life and nature, which requires lots of time and effort. Regarding this challenge, we created a platform that actively gives aid in the registering process according to REACH guidelines by keeping in mind the economic demands of manufacturers, importers, whole salers, trader and service providers; a platform that enhances the efficiency of the registering and sourcing process of substances and products; a platform that serves the bigger purpose: To help people use better products.
