Puffin Dive Centre

Puffin Dive Centre provides both Recreational and Commercial Diver Training throughout the year. The Scuba Diving Courses are structured to cover every level of Recreational diving through to and including all Instructor Training courses. The training includes additional tuition to allow students to gain experience at their own pace. Most courses a... re provided on a one on one basis allowing learning to be focused for each candidate. The commercial courses focus on the HSE Scuba diver course (formerly known as the HSE Part IV). The emphasis is on solid dive practive and full face and umbilical methods and skills. The Surface Supplied Course (formerly Pt III) covers the use of umbilicals, surface supplied air and ancilliary equipment amongst many other commercially relevant subjects. FAW (First Aid at Work)EFR (Emergency First Response) and all ancillary Rescue and Oxygen provider courses are provided within the course price. Accommodation at Puffin Dive Centre at either our Waterside Chalets or our Town House premises can be booked in advance and is available on a self catering basis. Full equipment can be hired on daily or weekly rates along with air tanks. We provide Nitrox and Trimix available thorughout the year from early AM until late. The Dive Shop on two floors has an extensive product range stocking Scubapro, Apeks, Poseidon and Beuchat with Suunto and full spares and service capability for all regulator brands. Dry suits and wet suits are kept at high stock levels in all sizes. Northern Diver and Fourth Element along with Otter are our main brands with others well represented. The Service centre covers repairs to Computers, Drysuits, BCD's and Regulators with an above average return to the customer time. Immediate repair options are available. Boat diving on our Super Rib's to all of the local wrecks and scenic dive sites is available daily with our Hard boat Urchin available throughout the season for larger groups or on day or multiple day basis.
