Projex Building Solutions has announced further developments in its expansion plans. The Leeds-based firm of Building Surveyors and Project Managers has won the contract to project manage and provide cost consultancy advice on a £30 million mixed-use scheme in the Midlands for LXB, the Jersey-based retail investment specialist, which will see a new... type of sustainably-led retail and leisure destination being constructed in 2012. The majority of the 244 acre site known as Rushden Lakes Shopping Park ("The Lakes"), is a Site of Special Scientific Interest and alongside conventional shoppers, hopes to attract other visitors to the area, providing a potential new market for a wide range of independent retailers and the local tourist industry. Projex has also agreed a new financial package with Santander Corporate Banking to finance future growth on the back of business expansion. Managing Partner Phil Tomalin says this will see turnover doubling for the third year running, a new office opening in Henley-in-Arden and follows on from last month's office re-location in Leeds to new premises at Brewery Wharf and a recent merger with Birmingham-based construction cost consultancy Keane Consult. Working with Projex and their accountants Sagars LLP, the bank was able to offer the business a competitive and increased working capital facility to assist with their business growth.
