With over 30 years experience in the design industry, Principal Brand Builder, Steven Pottschmidt, has led world-class Design Development teams to implement and produce award winning branded retail environments. This includes design refinement and translation, intent documentation for the environment, custom store fixtures and millwork, coordinatio... n with graphic design, lighting design, architectural and engineering consultants and implementation coordination with vendors, fabricators and contractors. Steven championed design intent throughout the implementation processworking with clients core team to ensure project is both brand right and functionally efficient. He has worked with some of the best brands in retail including: AOL, Bank One, Blockbuster, Caribou Coffee, C&A Brazil, Charming Shoppes, Hamleys Toys, LensCrafters, Maytag, M&MS World®, Pacific Theaters, PetSmart, Pick Up Stix, Radio Shack, Rubios Fresh Mexican Grill, Sheetz, Shopko, Smithsonian, Timberland, Universal Studios Islands of Adventure, Verizon Wireless, Warner Brothers and Walt Disney Imagineering. Prior to forming Pottschmidt Design, Steven served as Vice President of Design Development at Chute Gerdeman, Director at Fitch and, before that, Director of Interior Design at Richard Trott and Partners Architects. He began his career in 1984 at Continental Office Environments after earning a Bachelor of Science in Design from the University of Cincinnati, College of Design, Architecture, Art and Planning; and holds an accreditation from the National Council for Interior Design Qualification; as well as being a LEED AP and a professional member of the Retail Design Institute.
