Sale March 31st, 2021, North of Havre at the Ranch. 2021 marks our 15th production bull sale and first sale at PGC. Our sale will be held at the Ranch 30 miles north of Havre. We have been selling bulls for 14 years at Bear Paw L... ivestock with a really great set of producers, under the Northern Premier Angus Sale. We feel very blessed with the friendships we have developed during the time spent in the group! We will be hosting an Open Corral on January 9th, 2021 at the PGC feedlot. We'd love to see you, walk you through this year's offering of bulls and heifers, feed you lunch and visit! You will receive $200 in "Bull Bucks" to be used toward purchase at 2021 sale, when visiting the bulls, at the open corral or anytime before March 24th! Here at PGC, our goal is to produce a functional mother cow. We strive to produce balanced mother cows, that will pass on the multitude of traits necessary to produce good bulls and females. Every production year, we start by evaluating the cows at calving; scoring udders, feet, and temperament. Cows that don't meet our standards or don't breed back annually, don't stay. Our farming operation raises both winter and spring wheat, peas and several different hay crops. Our hay crops provide the winter feed necessary to develop the bulls for our sale, develop our replacement heifers and feed our mother cows through the winter. We are a progressive dryland farming operation, utilizing no-till cropping systems, rotational cropping, & cover crops. Our home place was homesteaded in 1912 by Hilbert Peterson, Kim's grandfather. It was passed down to Kim's father, Russell Peterson and then down to Kim. The place was always diversified with cattle and farming, and still is to this day. Kim married Nola (Sorenson, New Plymouth Idaho) in 1984. They worked side by side to create the Peterson Grain & Cattle we know today. They have three children and two grandchildren. ...Read More
