Pan Andean was founded in 1988 by Dr John Teeling. We are an oil & gas exploration and production ("E&P") company with a focus in South America. In addition, the group has important working interests and minority holdings in the United States in the Gulf of Mexico (offshore) and Texas (onshore). Our first position was in Bolivia, but since then the... group has expanded and now has assets in Bolivia, Peru and the United States. Pan Andean's strategy is to identify and access unique opportunities in frontier and established basins with transforming commercial potential. Our regional focus is the Sub Andean belt (Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia and Argentina), but some countries in the Caribbean and Central America are also part of the ultimate strategic objective. As a group, we aim to have material ownership in exploration assets and working interests in cash generative production assets that offer upside through redevelopment and exploration opportunities. At the core of this strategy is to build local partnerships and technical expertise with the best local people. Pan Andean has recently increased its efforts in order to access further opportunities in the countries in which we operate, in our focus region, and beyond. Improved fiscal and commercial terms in some countries combined with our long standing higher for longer oil price view, is providing new organic and M&A opportunities for the group.
