At the Canada's Safest Employers Award Gala held in Toronto on October 30th, Apex was recognized for having an exemplary health... and safety program and an exceptional health and safety record. Wade Michalenko, President of Apex attributes the award to the commitment of all employees and the proactive programs put in place to meet and exceed health and safety standards. "Our focus is that a safe work environment is provided for all workers and that customers receive the highest level of service". One such initiative is the Apex maintenance program. Each of the 11 locations across Western Canada are full service facilities equipped to monitor and sustain the performance of all equipment. The success of these programs, combined with a strong safety culture throughout the organization, is evident with the achievement of over 1.9 million work hours without a lost time injury.
