All students will grow to be able to be as independent as possible and to be able to communicate their wants, needs, and knowledge through a communication system that is appropriate for them. In accordance with P10Xs belief that all children can learn, our students with active participation with parents, community and staff will learn to the best o... f their ability in a safe and supportive environment, which respects the individuality of all students. P10X strives to promote high expectations and standards for students through professional development and continued self-evaluation to improve outcomes for our students to participate in the least restrictive environment. The primary instructional focus of P10X is enhancing communication skills for all students, but especially for limited language and non-verbal children. The goal of our program is to help students develop the academic, communication and social skills necessary to transition into a less restrictive environment. Communication systems, including the use of Core Vocabulary, are used to support students access to the various curriculums and programs used in the school.
