About Omerta
Omerta Game Ltd was established in 2003 by an ad-hoc group of web-friends, to take care of the web-game 'Omerta' www.barafranca.com. The project grew quickly, so we founded a UK Ltd company to take care of business, brought in more and better-skilled friends, strongly maintaining the founding ethos of the game itself: originality, community, free-to-play and volunteer-based. We are still based in the UK, with an office there and offices in Hong Kong and Lisbon, additional full-time home-working colleagues in The Netherlands, the USA and Turkey - and an enormous volunteer diaspora who are internationally based, taking care of game administration, customer services, player administration, design-support and translation.
