On behalf of William Northrup Elementary School, it is my pleasure to welcome you to the new school year! As the principal of Northrup, I look forward to establishing productive partnerships with you to ensure our students will achieve their highest potential. As partners, we share the responsibilities to guide our students to success, but also the... need to support them when needed. Regularly monitoring your child's progress is very important. It will help you notice strengths and find areas that need to be strengthened. Talk to your child daily about what he/she does in the classroom and on the playground. If you have concerns or questions, please contact your child's teacher. Equally important, prompt and consistent attendance is a necessary component of your childs education. To help us provide your child with the best education possible, please avoid being absent unless absolutely necessary. It is my desire to keep the focus on increasing student achievement and doing whatever it takes to help ALL our students be successful and enjoy coming to school each day. I believe that learning should be fun and that an elementary school should pave the way for a lifetime of learning.
